Books were counted as donated in the month of

Directly from this office 23 books were donated. This office directly relocated 15 books from one drop point which sat for several month's to another book point where they moved in a matter of days.  

Cash Donated = $0.00

Although no additional donations were found at drop points needing tagging or any posted online this doesn't mean none were made.  The online community aspect of this long running system is very new.  It will take time for people to take notice and participate more actively for better cataloging and sharing.  Then theres the issue of my ability to get to the drop points which is not often  so any given day I can't visit many books could have circulated through the drop points.  Which is why posting donations online is a great help!

Even giving @freebooksMich a shoutout on twitter when you pick a book up from one of our drops is a great help!  How?  Log traffic at each drop for better donation drops.  Increase authors that move well at that point, decrease less desirables.  

Help us keep updated on which drop points are empty so we may announce it so participants in the area can donate anything they may have been hanging onto and so others might not go out of their way to find nothing.  

New Cash Goals!

No money has come in yet though that doesn't stop us from planning for when it does!  On top of buying used books from Better World Books to fill our drop points we have a new goal.

To create a subreddit for better shared communication and drop shares for the participating community.  As well as additional planned forum activities.  We hope this move will help spread the drop points outside of Michigan.

Stay posted to see where this and other books are dropped.  At our drop points you can drop off books you have read or pick up anything that looks interesting, even both but its not required.  We at FreeBookUs just want to make sure that everyone who wants to read - can.  Starting locally we hope to grow nationally and hopefully internationally.
